House of Srinivasa Ramanujam in Kumbakonam

The house of Srinivasa Ramanujan, the famous mathematician, is on the Sarangapani street in Kumbakonam. Ramanujan and his parents lived in this traditional house in the temple town of Kumbakonam.

This family home is a revered museum now. During his 32 years of life, Ramanujan spent most of his time in this home. He died at this place. He had primary school education, high school education and college education all from this home.

The home displays many artifacts, manuscripts, notebooks and materials used by Ramanujan for the fond memory of this great genius of India.
